Alex was walking towards the West Tower. It was where the owlery was. She wanted to see her owl. She was rather bored and had nothing to do anyways. So she went here. She saw the brown owl. She named it Maximum. She stroked it's feathers for a bit. Then, she untied the letter from it's claw. She quickly saw it was from her parents. She read the letter quickly and then wrote back. She tied it to her owl's claw and watched it fly off.
The sun was begining to set and she let a smile rise on her lips. She then was getting her bouncy self. She turned thinking she best get back to the common room. She then heard someone coming. She didn't know who and wondered if she should stay to find out. She looked at her options and thought might as well stay. She said, "Erm.. Anyone there?" She gave a curious look. She tilted her head side ways wondering who the new commer was.

Val sighed. She hated having to write home. She was going to tell her parents that she was dating. Now who she was dating would remain a secret as her parents would most likely come to Hogwarts and kill Albus Potter themselves but she would include that he was a Gryffindor. Then they would threaten and she wouldn’t care and the list went on in the way things always went. Val hated her family and she loved rebelling against them. It was just a sport to her like quidditch.
When she finished, the letter was long, two pieces of parchment. It explained everything and how if they didn’t call off their dogs (her brother and his friends) then she would be forced into action and would curse them herself. Yes, that was how much Val hated her family, enough to use an Unforgivable curse on them. She quickly made her way through the school and to the owlery. There was someone else there, someone familiar. It was the Hufflepuff keeper, Alex Goldstein. She smiled and called down her Eagle owl, Precious. “Hello Alex, how are you this evening?” Val asked, always keeping formal with people she didn’t know very well.

Alex smiled at her captain and watched her owl go to her. She said, "I am fine. Just writing to my parents." She knew her captain alright. Though, they weren't close, but she often wondered why. She figured it was because they were in different years. She often tried to figure things out, but it was the oposite of her. She was hard to figure out, but she assumed that everything else was easy. Well she was wrong which surprised no one.
She said, "What about yourself? Writing to your parents?" Some people might find that a stupid question. She didn't because some people didn't live with their parents. She knew a few people who didn't. It wasn't that nice to assume people live with their parents. Or so she thought. She thought differently then most people. Not in a weird way, but more caring way then most. She hated conflict and didn't want to offend anyone.

Val sighed. “Bah, same. But I’m sure not for the same reason in any length of Quidditch field.” Val admitted. Val didn’t get too close to her team mates ever. That was why she was so successful and quidditch captain. Plus, Val didn’t see Alex a lot considering their years. Val was always quite a lonely person. She didn’t let herself get close to most people since her parents were…well what they were. Val smiled down at the younger, smaller girl but the smile didn’t touch her eyes. She sighed and watched Precious fly away.
“Yes.” Val answered shortly. She hated talking about her parents. If she could even really call them that. More like evil keepers. Alex was quite observant, Val gave the girl that. She would make some guy lucky one day, and keep him in line. Val smiled, wondering were her and Albus would go with their relationship. If they really loved each other then one and half more years and they could get married. Val could finally get away from her parents and she and Al could have gorgeous little pure blood babies. Val liked that future a lot and could picture herself in the motherly role.

Alex gave an understanding smile. She said, "I think my parents get a bit annoying sometimes to be honest." She leaned up against a wall of the owlry. It was kinda odd since people thought she had ADD. Since she was a pretty crazy person which made her be friends with Al. She wondered what it would be like to date a guy like Al. She didn't like Al more than a friend though.
She thought she heard her older brother and rolled her eyes a bit. She said, "Brothers.. They are annoying." She gave a grin on her face. She was only joking. She cared about her family deeply. She knew that her and her siblings will find each other annoying, but in the end they care about each other. Or so she thought. She wondered about her and Val's friendship. It wasn't much more than Quidditch captain and a kid on her team. So she thought anyways. It was a bit odd they were nothing more, but she shrugged it off.
