Finally some sun. It was the first time in a week that a sun appeared on a sky. Finally…an opportunity to go outside.
With a long piece of parchment, quills and a book safely placed in a bag, Nigel went out. It was a lunch time and the most people would probably be eating in the Great Hall which will give him enough peace and quiet to do the essay for the ‘Herb-Man’. He always did the things for classes the same day he got the assignment. That wasn’t a strange thing to see him wandering around with his nose stuck in a book. It was actually a part of his gear.
He decided to sit by the lake. Besides the Forbidden Forest, The Black Lake was a place he spent most of his time (when he was outside). Nigel sat on a bench and took his things out. The fact that he had learned the entire book by heart was definitely a big help.
He pressed the quill against the parchment and started to write. He knew everything about Asian Flitterbloom after all...it was a piece of cake.
Time was passing incredibly fast and when his quill finally stopped at the bottom of a parchment, Nigel noticed it was 5pm. Thank goodness his classes were finished for today, so there was no need to hurry anywhere. He placed the parchment gently into the bag and threw in on the grass next to the bench. It was indeed very warm, which kind of made Nigel relax completely. He laid down on the bench, crossed his legs and lit a cigarette. There was no one around after all. Plus he was outside and he wasn't a minor anymore. There shouldn't be any problems with him smoking far away from the castle...still, in case that the trouble actually finds him, he'll deal with it on his own little secret way.
