Workin 9 to 5 What a way to make a livin Barely gettin by Its all takin And no givin They just use your mind And they never give you credit It was silent, or at least, almost so as footsteps approached the nearly always empty room, the first thing to peak into the room was a wand, the tip shining brightly in the midnight darkness the next thing was a young womans head. Her hair was pinned back into a bun to keep in out of her face and other than that she was dressed normally. Rayne really did not know what had brought her here but she had trusted her feet, the seemed to know where they were going even if her head did not. She felt herself slip silently into the room, glad to get a rest from the busy world around her during school hours, in fact the reason she was down here was because sleep had eluded her, leaving her a victim to listen to her dorm mates snores and mumbles from their private dreams. It took her only a few minutes to get annoyed and go into the common room.
Rayne really had tried to sleep, she tried doing homework until she got tired, then when that failed she stared at the dying embers of the fire that was lit in the fireplace, nothing had soothed her soul. She didn't even really know what had her so worried but she couldn't stand it any longer, that was why she now found herself in the Trophey Room for all of Hogwarts 'finest students'. She found herself admiring the different tropheys, quite a few had the words 'for services to the school' which made her wonder what all those people had done. She almost wished her own name could be on one of those tropheys but she knew this was extremely unlikely.
Her head whipped to the side as she thought she heard a noise, scared that it could be the caretaker she slowed her breathing and muttered a quick charm under her breath. When she didn't hear anything else she looked back to the tropheys, dragging a finger across the dust of one so she could see the actual name beneath it.

x I want love To carry me through All the moments, I'd kindly undo Locked away So I can feel safeAn animal could be see running through the school lawns, his speed was incredible and his moves were majestic, it wasn't a magic animal, just a muggle one that although so beautiful, was feared by many. His paw pushed the wooden door open, and it started again, running through the school hallways, jumping several fleets of stairs each time, the black cat continued, his yellow eyes concentrated on the path, one could hardly see clearly what it was due to the low light from the candles and when he saw a stronger light, the panther stopped some feet away. Turning back to his human form, Louis took his silver flask from the inside pocket of his jacket and after opening it, he took a large sip.
Louis was returning from a night out in the three broomsticks, he did it quite often and the best way to be able to return to his common room fast and without people knowing, was with the animagi transformation he was able to do. Nobody knew about it so if he was caught, thing that would be difficult due to his speed, the only thing they would saw was a large black cat running by them. If they made it possible to apparate inside the school grounds it would save him lots of trouble, but well, he understood.
Now what was bothering him was that there was someone inside the trophy room, light could be seen form under the door and he doubted it would be a teacher of anyone from the staff. Turning the doorknob, Louis head popped out with an eyebrow raised "Hello" he stated laughing gently to the girl inside "That one belongs to my father when he was a Head Boy" he stated watching as the girl cleaned the dust from the plaque "What brings you around here at this hour?" he asked closing the door behind him and taking another sip of fire whiskey.

Workin 9 to 5 What a way to make a livin Barely gettin by Its all takin And no givin They just use your mind And they never give you credit Rayne hadn't expected anyone after she heard no more noise so when she heard a male voice she almost jumped out of her own skin and into her own animagus form, but she was sure that the chipmunk Rayne would have barely fared any better. She took a few deep breaths in an attempt to calm herself before turning to face the boy. He was a Weasley, that she knew from going to one or two of their family gatherings with her own parents, she had never really spoken to him there, she also knew that he was older and belonged in Gryffindor. That did not explain how he was able to sneak up on her, well, this school was magical for a reason. "Hello." She nodded to him before lifting her hand away from the plaque as she heard the words he spoke, she looked down at the plaque and sure enough he was right. She hadn't really been paying attention to the actual names on the trophys but it was a shame that they had become in such a state.
"Oh! Of course." She muttered before blushing, looking like the Rayne Longbottom everyone knew, "Louis Weasley, right?" She asked looking over to him, she believed that was the boys name and if it wasn't than it would be quite embarrassing, as is she wasn't blushing enough as it was. She half considered just changing forms and scattering away in search of nuts, everything was so much easier when you were just a chipmunk... no worries about being embarrassed that was for sure. She mentally slapped herself, he hadn't even spoken that much and she was already worrying, sometimes she was such a nutter.
"Me?" She asked, sounding as if she believed there was someone else in the room other than the two of them which there wasn't. She gave a small shrug before looking to him, "Would the answer 'couldn't sleep' satisfy you?" She asked hopefully, most people tended to pry and she hoped that he wasn't one but knowing her luck he would be. She didn't want to have to explain that she couldn't sleep because of the nightmares she kept constantly getting about Voldemort rising back to power, she knew it wouldn't happen and most would probably laugh at her if she told them. Which was why she wasn't.

x I want love To carry me through All the moments, I'd kindly undo Locked away So I can feel safeLouis started walking around the room, looking to all the trophies and medals there "Yes, and you are?" he asked over his shoulder with a charming smile before returning his gaze to the golden pieces. Uncle,Uncle, uncle, father, sister, cousin, grandmother, many of the trophies there belonged to someone of his family and there it was, his own Louis Weasley Gryffindor prefect he had been one for two years and that was the proof for the next generations to see, maybe his own kids one day would have also a space there. His name also appeared else where, in two more majestic trophies, Quidditch cups, his name was among his other team mates, they had won two years in a row and if everything went well, they would win it again this year.
"Would the answer 'couldn't sleep' satisfy you?"
Laughing gently he turned to her "If it's good enough for you, than it is to me as well. I was just curious, it's not every night one finds someone here at this hour" he stated with a warm smile "It's not one of the most interesting places to be" he added with a grin , looking around to the dusty place, they really should do something about that. Taking his wand from his pocket, he flicked it and soon enough all the dust in the trophies, the walls and on the ground disappeared. It seemed the place had light of it's own but that happened because of the moonlight hitting directly inside the room "This is better" he claimed storing the wand back in his pocket.

Rayne noticed that he also was looking at the various trophies, she knew that he must have many family members scattered among the plaques, but even so she hadn't thought that he would even be remotely interested in this things. "Oh, um, Rayne." She decided it would just be best to leave out her last name, she was tired of the reactions she got whenever she would state it. It got to be annoying and she was frankly mad at everyone who judged her because of this. As she glanced around the room she managed to see his name at east once, maybe thats the reason he was down here.. to admire his own name? No. She didn't think that was it, maybe he just hadn't wanted to stay in his Dormitories.
"It's not one of the most interesting places to be"
"As odd as it sounds, I find it fascinating. So many generations of families... so many peoples names who probably ended up dying to young." She murmured the last sentence quietly, her own father had lost a few friends to the war, along with her Great-Grandmum losing some of her own friends. The war had torn apart many families and it was quite sad to dwell on, Rayne in fact didn't come down here to do so either. Her sad expression turned slightly happy when she saw the spell he had cast to remove the dust from the large amount of trophies and plaques.
"Now what will all those who have detentions clean?" She joked slightly, turning away from the trophy she was staring at to look at him with a small smile. "The teachers will be disappointed." She added, there was one good thing about him being there.. at least she wasn't alone and it hadn't been a teacher who had found her.

Walking to a window, he placed an arm over his head against the stone wall and leaned slightly forward. He kept silent for several moments before smiling warmly at the girl over his shoulder. He knew better than anyone the impact the war had, he had lost his uncle in it and all his family had participated in the defense against the death eaters. He had heard the story so many times that he felt like he had experienced it himself, there wasn't a party or a dinner where someone wouldn't mentioned it and although they left victorious from the battle, a life had been taken, Freds. It was tough subject to talk about, even harder in front of George. "By the sound of your voice I guess your family is not unknown" he stated with a charming smile, watching the stars above the castle, the sky was clean of clouds so it was a beautiful sight.
"Now what will all those who have detentions clean?"
"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll figure something out. If they are still able to be original when giving Albus and some other cousins of mine detentions, I bet they can come up with something" he replied grinning gently. Louis wasn't a big fan of pranks, he had always been the most adult among his family in Hogwarts, although a big flirt he took school very seriously and he had his grades to prove it. Teachers many times talked about how strange it was that a weasley was able to have better grades than Hermione Granger, even his father that had been such a good student never had grades as good as Louis.
