Scorpius stifled a laugh, covering his mouth with his hands to muffle any vocalization that did manage to escape. He was looming in the water, eyes an nose the only things on his face that were above the surface for obvious reasons. He watched her closely as she stumbled around looking for him, arms outstretched. She really was something else. He didn’t know anyone else who had ever bee like her, beautiful, down to earth, fun. Fun. Scorpius didn’t have any fun friends, not really. But Arielle was stubborn too, he’d tried his hardest not to become friends with her and she hadn’t helped that situation at all. But now, looking back on it, he wouldn’t trade their friendship, or whatever it was they had, for anything.
Moving slowly as to not alert her of his presence he moved behind her, watching her still searching for him, knowing she couldn’t see him even if she did hear him. He liked the dark, his eyes adjusted very easily to it because of how much time he spent in the dark. Literally as well as Physically, actually. Coming up to no less than a foot behind her, still undetected, he reached forward and pulled her back to him, wrapping his arms around her middle and turning his face into her neck. Her skin was soft, just like he remembered it. And where his skin met hers it burned in a familiar, excited kind of way.
Her hair smelled wonderful, a mix of the water it was drenched in and something he didn’t recognize. The freshness washed over him as he just sat there like that for a moment, holding her, content to just have her near him. During the day he was a crude, unfeeling Slytherin but really this was what he lived for. He didn’t have to worry about keeping up appearances with her or worry about making a fool of himself. He did that enough with everyone else, although they interpreted it as him being indifferent to them.
“I win.”
The phrase was muffled by her skin against his lips, his own wet hair mingled with hers, falling down over the front of his face hiding from the world his half closed eyes. Scorpius sighed softly, not meaning to because he was so close to her but he couldn’t help it. This was hard for him. It went against everything he was taught, everything that was expected of him. Of course, on one level he didn’t care. He liked her and he would do what he liked about it. On another level he knew she probably didn’t care about that.
He had to be prepared for her to walk away from him at some point. He didn’t want it to happen but she was a Gryffindor. There was no way anyone she knew would accept this. He was Malfoy and she was a Gryffindor and that was a worse combination than a Gryffindor and a Slytherin and he knew it. Blinking, he pushed thoughts away. He didn’t want to think about that right now. He was here wasn’t her? He was holding her and that’s what mattered at the moment. He didn’t deserve her. But she was here and he was going to enjoy that while it lasted.

Arielle jumped as she felt his arms wrap around her middle. She laughed softly as she felt her back press agianst his chest. She had missed his touch. Although she knew that they could never take this relationship to public, she still enjoyed it. As she felt him press his face into her neck, she felt her skin tingle more. His lips pressed into her soft skin and his warm breath was directed onto her neck. This caused her to shudder slighlty.
" Okay."Arielle said, gazing down at his head buried in her neck. She felt him sigh and she wondered what was wrong. Although she was curious, she didn't ask. The girl wasn't in the mood of talking about how they couldn't be seen in public together. When they had gotten into a fight over her wanting to tell people about their friendship, she was almost heart-broken. She rememeberd running from the place and going back to her dorm.
Arielle bitterly hated that night. She didn't like how she let her emotions over flow that night. She didn't like the hot, salty tears that hit her cheeks and rolled over him nose and lips. She especially didn't like the hurt look in his eyes after she started to cry and she ran off. Their lives would be so much easier without dumb judgings. No matter how many times she hoped and wished that it'd be different, deep down she knew it would never be able to change.
Arielle sighed silently as she laid her head back agianst his shoulder and looked up at the night sky. It was beautiful tonight. She couldn't ask for a better welcome back present. Just being with him was good enough. Sure, they weren't dating or anything but there were obviously emotions there on both sides. It made her feel extraordinarly special that she could break down his walls. She never wanted him to pretend around her.
Arielle would always be the laid-back girl that she was. She didn't care about apperances or titles. She just wanted a person to be happy. Although this relationship would have to eventually end, she was glad to be with him now. It would probably break her heart to say goodbye for him forever, but thats the way it had to be.

Scorpius wished they could just stay like this; just the two of them out here under the stars enjoying each other. Life would be so much easier if that was an option. But it wasn’t. eventually they would have to return to the castle. She would go up to Gryffindor Tower and he would go down to the dungeons, the gloom. And they would continue to lead completely separate lives. Maybe this year he’d change that. Perhaps he’d surprise her by acknowledging her around the castle, it would surely piss off those bloody Potter boys. But he didn’t know if he was strong enough for that. He knew his parents would have something to say about him associating with her, whether or not they accepted it he was unsure of. But maybe that’s hat he wanted. Maybe. Only time would tell.
When she leaned her head against his shoulder he shifted his arms encircling her to put them both in a more comfortable postion. His fingers itched to explore her, reacquaint himself with her, but he settled for his fingers lightly on her stomach, secure in the fact she wasn’t going to disappear. The silence that was enveloping them was very comfortable for him. He’d never been very good with words and so usually he just let other people talk to appease themselves and feel comfortable. But just being here and being together without needing to make small talk was quite nice. He enjoyed it.
Brushing his lips against her neck once more he felt his heart skip, the touch reminding him just how much he enjoyed having her with him. Revisiting her jaw line he left a trail of brief kisses as he traveled up it. Ending at her ear he whispered, barely audible.
“Why on earth do you have to be so bloody beautiful?” That was usually a line he played on girls he’d been with, something to make them think he cared for them, like he’d been watching them. More often than not it was nothing more than something to say to get them into bed. But in this instance he actually meant every word of it. Even behind her, not able to see anything other than the curve of her neck and her hair splayed every which way over both of their skin, leaving trails of lake water that reflected the moonlight. He could tell even from this angle that she was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen. Maybe the fact that he had actually gotten to know her and liked her personality had something to do with him thinking that. None the less, there was no one else he’d rather be this close to.
Scorpius slowly, as not to startle her, backed away from her, tugging at her arms to turn her towards him. One hand when to the side of her head, sliding through her wet hair as he leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips. Withdrawing, he offered her a slight smile, like he knew something she didn’t.
“I hope you’ll excuse me, I’ve wanted to do that since the moment I saw you by that tree.”

Arielle smiled softly and she felt her heart flutter as he whispered that sentence into her ear. He had said that to her the first night that the pair had hooked-up, but tonight was different. She could just tell by the tone of his voice. That night, so long ago had been filled with lust. Tonight it was with passion and sincerity. She felt her chest tightened as she thought a thought she hadn't allowed herself to think in a very long while. What if she was falling for him? It shook her to her very core. Of course she cared about him, but she couldn't let herself fall into the arms of another who wasn't always going to be herside.
Arielle felt her stomach muscles tighten as she got a pitless feeling. She shook it off quickly though. Now wasn't the moment to be thinking of thoughts such as those. Her eyes closed as she let the fear melt away as she felt his soft touch agianst her bare skin. This wasn't the Scorpius that everyone at Hogwarts knew. This was her Scorpius. She wanted to scream it on the top of the world how much better he was off acting like this, but she knew she couldn't.
Arille smiled at him as he moved infront of her. She took a breath to say something, but soon before he moved in and kissed her lips softly. Her heart fluttered wildy and she got the weightless feeling as she always did when they kissed. As he pulled away, she felt the shape of his lips linger on hers. Although they were no longer there, she felt as if they were. Her lips tingled as she pulled them into a soft smile. " Really, well I've been wanting to do this.."she said before swimming back to him and leaning up and kissing him on the lips softly.
Arielle felt her lips tingle with the same spark that she recieved when he touched her. She wondered if he felt the same tingle that she felt on her lips and body when he touched her. It amazed her, knowing that she could make him become some one so much different than what he was around other people. She made him better. Her heart fluttered as she pulled away, peering up into his eyes. This was one of those times when she wanted to say something when she couldn't.
Tonight's settings made it particuarlly difficult. It was breath-takingly beautiful and they were mere inches away from eachother. Arielle truly cared about him. Deeply even. She knew he did too, he just wouldn't admit it aloud. Even to her. Their relationship seemed to be right out of a novel. They had a forbidden relationship, she made him better, he was the dark type, blah blah blah. It was true. They were like the characters, just playing out thier plot together.

Scorpius was caught of guard when she kissed him, he had not been expecting her to do that in the least. Reacting automatically, his hand when softly to her sides, supporting her as she was leaning up to him, and then when she pulled back he circled his arms around her shoulders, leaning his forehead against hers, wondering if she was feeling the same butteflies in her stomach as seemed to be taking over his entire body every time she touched him. It astonished him how far they had come since they’d met each other. He’d initially wanted to make her cry and then he’d moved on to wanting to shag her but that hadn’t been enough for him. He wanted all of her, he wanted her to be his. But that couldn’t happen. He couldn’t possibly ask that of her; Especially not when he wasn’t even ready to tell people about their encounters.
“I’m glad you’re the one I found out here Arielle.”
It wasn’t a very blatant sentence but he knew she’d understand. The summer had been hard on him. As much as he tried to stifle it he had been very lonely and mostly for her. He hadn’t gotten to say goodbye last year before he left and so he spent a lot of his time over the holidays wondering what she was doing, if she regretted not seeing him before they returned home. He had even considered trying to find her on the Hogwarts Express on his return to school but that would have been something explain to her friends in the compartment with her.
For several moments all that was heard was the hooting of a far off owl and the crickets melody in the grass. If they hadn’t been standing shoulder deep in lake water Scorpius could see himself being lulled to sleep by the tranquility of it all. He was sure he’d sleep soundly with her around, not that he would ever find out. He wished the rest of the world would just disappear or that he would suddenly find out that he was from a different family, perhaps the Weasleys. Something that would make this okay, make it sit well with the rest of the world. For the first time he found himself being angry that he was a malfoy. Not because their name was tainted with cruelty but because for the first time he wanted something and could not have it mostly because of who he was and where he came from.
Kissing the top of her head softly he let her go. Dropping down a bit so that he was eye level with her he raised his hand to her chin so that she was looking at him. He wasn’t really looking for her attention, he just wanted to look into her eyes, the same ones he’d been struck by on that first meeting. His eyes lingered a long time on the orbs that were perfectly reflecting the moonlight and making him melt and then swiftly traveled downwards.
The water came up on her slightly under her collar bone, leaving him to merely wonder about what might lie under the surface of the water. But he already knew. He had already touched every inch of her, kissed it, felt it. As if back in the moment Scorpius ran his hands over her shoulders and down her arms to her hands and then back up again to travel across her collarbone and then down a few inches before pulling it back to himself again.
Gaze retuning to her own he smiled at her, a smile filled with an emotion he wasn’t really sure he should be feeling for her and certainly wouldn’t be voicing any time soon. She was going to leave him eventually and he had to prepare himself for that. Usually he would just decide not to let her but he couldn’t promise to make her happy and he wanted her to be happy. So forcing her to stay would be pointless. Reaching for her again he caressed her cheek softly. There was that soft skin that burned him each time he touched it. He didn’t expect that would ever change.

Arielle smiled softly as he told her about how he was glad he found her. " I'm glad you found me."she said, looking up into his eyes. The moonlight illuminated his features and brought a glow to his skin. Her butterflies started to take flight once more as she gazed over his face. His expression always looked so stern and his eyes were like stone around other people. When she was around him, his expression was soft and his eyes didn't hide any thing.
When he put his forehead agianst hers and looked deep into her eyes, Arielle felt her emotions flood inside of her. As she peered back into his eyes, she felt like she was caught in some sort of cruel dream. She felt so happy here in his arms and it seemed as if nothing else in the world mattered. In those extraordinary moments in time, nothing else didnt'.
In Arielle's perspective, she felt their relationship was out of some novel. They were the forbidden lovers and soon they'd have to part for probably all eternity. Her heart nearly stopped beating when she thought of a desperate thought. She either needed to tell him how she truly felt or she would be forced to say goodbye at the end of the year. Her heart yearned for her to let her emotions pour out of her soul.
Arielle had always kept a protective barrier around her heart. She had been hurt before, and she really didn't want to be hurt like that again. It made her want to cry sometimes, how much she truly wanted to tell him her emotions. This cruel reality of their differences kept them painfully apart.
Taking a deep breath, Arielle decided to take a major risk. She would give little hints on how she truly felt about him. Depending on his reaction, she would then decide whether to fully tell him or not. As he caressed her cheek softly, she laid her head in his hand. Her eyes were filled with joy and sincerity. As she lifted her head, she felt her heart race.
It was now or never. With a deep breath, Arielle smiled nervously. " Do you have any idea what you do to me?" she asked, her voice in almost a whisper as she looked into his eyes. It was in that state she was terrified of saying these words, but she had to let them free. " Do you know how much of a shock I feel when you touch me or the butterflies I get?" she asked agian. If they were any closer, she could've sworn that he would hear her heart pounding agianst her rib-cage. She really hoped she had said the right thing.

Scorpius was having tunnel vision. Arielle was the only thing in the world, the only thing that mattered at that second. It was true there wasn’t much competing for his attention but he forgot where he was. For a moment everything physical seemed to fade away. They weren’t in the lake, they only existed, location was not a factor in his thoughts, all he saw was her and he was alright with that. She was beautiful and intelligent and one of the most spontaneous, interesting people he had ever come in counter with. He really didn’t know why his ice heart melted when he was around her, maybe it was the way she looked at him or the way she made him feel. Either way he was quite aware that he acted with her unlike he had with anyone else in his life.
He didn’t know very much a bout her past, he didn’t really want to know, the past didn’t matter to him. But he did know there had been pain, whether from relationships or home life he didn’t know. He could see it in her eyes when he looked at her. Currently he could tell she was having some kind of inward struggle. Briefly he wondered if perhaps it could be the same inward struggle he was having but he quickly pushed the idea aside, telling himself it was too farfetched, too hopeful. He didn’t hope for things. Wishing only wounds the heart. It wasn’t worth the risk to dream about things he knew couldn’t be. She could do much better than him and he knew it.
He pulled back slightly to look down at her when she took her breath. Something big was coming and it scared him which showed in his eyes because he didn’t know what to expect. Was this the fateful day when she would tell him s he wanted nothing more to do with him? That it was pointless for her to waste her time? He had to strain his ears to hear her when she spoke, goosebumps appearing on his skin, not from the cold but from anticipation. He felt his heart stop for a moment. What he did to her? What did she mean? Did he hurt her? He didn’t want to hurt her. He felt himself start to move away involuntarily, every nerve in his body telling him to grab her and not let her get away. Gee, that wouldn’t look like rape at all.
But then she spoke again and his breath caught in his throat. Shock? Butterflies? That sounded oddly familiar. What little color he usually had was draining from his face. He was sure she could hear his heart when it started up again, racing in his chest as he looked at her standing there in front of him telling him he gave her butterflies. Did he knew what he did to her? He had no idea.
“I…”
He stopped because he wasn’t exactly sure where he was going with that. Usually Scorpius’ reaction to that kind of statement would be to tell a girl that he knew exactly what he did to her and that was his intention all along. But not with her. With her it was different. They’d had the conversation he felt coming before, usually screaming at the top of their lungs or her pounding on his chest in frustration. Never this quiet, this intimate, this soon. He wanted to reach for her and so he did. He grabbed her hand loosely again, but after a moment he squeezed it and let his grip remain firm as he let their eyes meet again, ready to finish his thought, softly, in a tone he only ever used with her.
“I’d imagine its something like how my heart seems to stop whenever I see you and the way my skin sets fire each time it meets yours…”
He shouldn’t be saying this. He was making himself much too vulnerable. But he really didn’t care anymore.

Arielle's heart nearly stopped when he said those words. Her heart then started beating wildly in her chest. The pitless feeling in her stomach returned. Her vision blurred a bit as she felt his hand once more, making her feel a bit better. What was causing her to act like this? Obviously they were emotions, but she hadn't felt this way before. One might say it was love. Was it? No. She couldn't bring herself to think of that. Not yet anyways.
All Arielle could do is just look in his eyes and nod. She couldn't even describe what she was feeling. Her mind flooded with so many thoughts she wanted to tell him, but it was like her lips were frozen together. As her lips parted and she drew in a breath, she managed to smile softly up at him. The girl had felt so many emotions towards him through the years. First there was hatred, then came along happiness when they became friends, then there came the intense passion between them. Now what was this? She could imagine it being more than just an attraction, but she was terrified of this thought.
Arielle looked up into his eyes once more and saw the familiar look of pain that she saw in her reflection. All though they came from two completely different worlds, they shared the pain. She could almost be certain his was from pressure and hers was from her previous relationships. He deserved for her to open up to him if they did get serious, but she didn't know if she could. There was no doubt that she trusted him, but it was just her fear in the back of her mind and the voice telling her no.
Arielle never wanted him to let go of her. This thought terrified yet excited her. Although she wouldn't realize it until later on, this was probably love. Or the closest thing to love she had ever been to. When this thought crossed her mind once agian, she couldn't imagine his reaction. She didn't want him to be swimming in thoughts like she was alot of the time. She knew he had struggles of his own, but she didn't want to burden him anymore than she had to.
Wasn't the pain of knowing that they couldn't fully be in the public's eye without judgement enough? Arielle knew that she could handle the pressure, but she didn't want him to go through the ridicule of it all. All of this made her want to cry. As she felt her nose get the odd, pinching sensation it did when she was going to cry, she tilted her head downwards. She didn't want him to see her tears.

Scorpius smiled at her reaction to his answer. That had gone better than expected. He had expected her to go running in the other direction, never to speak to him again. But here she was looking up at him like there was so much more in her heart that he should know about. And he should know about it. He knew he should, he knew that she was holding back and he didn’t really know what. Was it because she didn’t want to feel anything for him? Because he was a Slytherin? Because he was a Malfoy? He felt his grip on her hand tighten as he thoughts when down that path.
Quickly loosening his grip again not wanting to scare her he smiled at her again, his eyes shining with everything he himself wanted to say to her. He wasn’t really sure what he felt for her, whether it was just great infatuation or something more than that. He stroked the side of her face, drying quickly in the air. He never wanted the night to end because it was almost a sure thing that the next day would be like all the days prior, a glance in the hall, a sneer in the Great Hall, nothing more. Never friends, always enemies.
He wanted to tell her that she was the only thing on his mind, the only person he wanted to look at, the only person he wanted to touch. But what was the point of that? What w as the point of doing that to her? There was no way they could be together. Or was there? If Scorpius really wanted to be with her…well he might be able to. He’d have to know she really wanted it though. After the disaster that was Spencer he had shied away from putting himself out there. He was afraid of getting hurt. There, he’d admitted it to himself. He thought he was going to get hurt. He was going to put himself on the line for Arielle and she was going to walk away. Wouldn’t want to put up with it, the pain, the difficulty, she’d tire of it quickly. And they stood for different things. She stood for the light and he stood for the dark. Why would a member of the order of the phoenix ever want to be with a junior death eater? How could he ever expect that of her? She deserved better than that.
But then he felt rather than saw her look down. Something told him that wasn’t the best sign. He reached forward and put his hand under her chin, raising it so he could look at her. Her nose was red and he saw the tears sparkling in her eyes and suddenly he panicked. Had he said something wrong? Was he supposed to say something that he hadn’t? Why was she crying?
“What- why are you crying? Don’t cry, Arielle, please don’t cry. ”
His eyes pleaded with her. They had had a special moment and now this, and he didn’t understand.
“What’s wrong? ”

" It's just so unfair....I mean...I don't know....I just wish we wouldn't be judged for being seen together....I hate it.." Arielle said her voice in a whisper as wiping away her tears as she looked at the hurt look in his eyes. Her emotions bubbled violently underneath her skin. She wanted for her tears to stop, but the kept flowing. Now she felt like a bloody idiot. They had a special moment and she had to ruin it by crying. Smooth move, Arielle. the voice in her head mimicked. " I'm sorry..."she said, feeling bad about ruining the moment.
If they did truly feel the same way for each other, she didn't see why in the world they couldn't have a fair chance. Arielle sighed softly and looked up at him. Why did he have such a spell on her? This answer would probably be clear to either one of them, but the knew what they felt. As she thought about their situation, she felt her emotions change. Why did she care so much about what others thought? She never did in the first place. Now that Scorpius' image came into play, she realized why she cared. It was for him.
Arielle was positive that she was giving him mixed signs. She hated being so complicated. " It's just that I don't want either one of us to get hurt, other than that I could care less what people think.."she said, her eyes finally returning to their normal state. These emotions were something she couldn't understand. Wasn't she supposed to hate him? Wasn't she supposed to think bitterly of him? She knew things were true, but she couldn't bring herself to think or act in these ways. It was just that she cared for him too much.
Arielle knew that she could do better than him, but she didn't want to have better. She wanted him. If there weren't such things as junior death eaters and junior members of the order? Things would be a whole lot easier then. They'd also be easier if the two houses had such a rivalry for each other and if his name wasn't Malfoy. Her family didn't have a reputation like his did, but she knew that her friends would deeply care when she didn't care about the appearances. Arielle decided to throw all of her precautions away and decided to put herself out there for him, ready to grasp at any moment. If she got her heartbroken, she'd be devastated. Of course she was afraid, but she trusted him enough that she had a feeling that he wouldn't. If things were to end badly, she'd take a while to heal, but she couldn't say it wasn't worth it. She was ready to take the chance and dive into the deep unknown with him.

It pained Scorpius to see her this way and he would have held her close and told her to stop crying but there were much bigger issues at hand. She had hit the nail right on the head, finally voicing what he thought. He ran his thumb across her face wiping away a few of the tears, with a pondering expression his own face. What did she want from him? Did she want to be able to be seen with him? Did she want the whole shebang? Was that what she was telling him, that she wanted to give them a try? Didn’t she understand how badly people would react to seeing them together, to knowing about that? Her precious Potters would have a fit. He didn’t understand why she couldn’t see that.
“You have absolutely no reason to be sorry.”
He ran his knuckles down her cheek. And as he looked at her it hit him, about the same time as she started speaking again. She didn’t care. She was taking the Malfoy role for once not caring about what anyone else thought of what she did. Bloody hell, was he being the push over here? Was he letting everyone dictate his life and keep him away from her because he was afraid of what they’d think? And she was being the brave on and wanting to stand up to the world and say they were wrong? He could help but smile faintly thinking that was very characteristically Gryffindor of her. But the Smile turned into an inquisitive look.
“Is that what you want, then? Do you…do you want be seen together? Because it’ll be hell to pay for both of us and it’ll be hard ever day…because if it is I’m with you.”
What was he saying? Was he giving into her will or his own? No, this was his will, this was what he wanted. He wanted to be able to smile at her in public and let the world know that she was the only person in this whole bloody school, the only person anywhere really, who could make him smile instead of sneer. She made him cross borders and take risks because of his feelings for me, how was this any different. Of course as soon as word got back to his parents, and word would get back to his parents, he’d have hell to pay. But he care, at least not if she didn’t. He didn’t want to hurt her. He didn’t want to get her hurt.
In reality both of them should have known this could end badly. They could end up being used against each other. Their allies would go against the other one, they could be killed for this. Scorpius knew that, he knew that when you believe in something it’s hard to accept something different. It’s hard to just be. But he didn’t much care when she was standing their in front of him. His theory was at least if he died in this struggle, he wanted to know he’d tried everything he could to be with her first. He wanted to be with her. He reached for her hand again, stroking her knuckles with his thumb.
“Normal is for fearful people. Take a chance with me. Who knows, maybe we’ll start a trend. I know I was against it before but… something changed…I think it was me. Who knows maybe we’ll start a trend”
He was trying to lighten the mood. He didn’t like all this crying she was doing, especially not since he knew he started it. He didn’t want her to have reason to cry about him.

" I want us to be seen together...and I'm willing to face the pain."Arielle said with a soft yet bold smile across her face. Tonight was going to be probably the most memorable night in their entire relationship. Well at least so far anyways. She knew it wasn't going to be easy and she would win the disapproval of her friends, but at the moment she didn't care. Even if they did have a problem with Slytherins, which the majority of them did, they should be there for her like a true friend.
At least if Arielle's friends did shun her, she'd still have Scorpius. Hopefully nothing bad would come out of this. She knew the world would be very unaccepting of their relationship, but she could careless. She had the heart of a true Gryffindor, bold and brave. Her heart skipped a beat when he mentioned he changed. Did he change because of her? Did she melt the ice around the heart of a Malfoy? This was a bit overwhelming to her to take in all at once, but she was glad that he felt the same way.
" I...I'm ready to take the chance with you."Arielle said excitedly. Her heart pounded against her rib cage. She grinned ear from ear as she looked up at him. This is what she had been waiting for for so long, and now it was here before her. Now that this was within her grasp, she felt like she could do anything. She smiled softly as he ran his thumb across her knuckles. So this is what it felt like to have what you wanted right in your hand.
Arielle was very glad that he felt the same way that she did. Over-joyed even. The moonlight shone down on the two of them, illuminating her brunette locks and her delicate features. She gazed up at him once more, the light playing on his features as well. Tonight was enchanting night. The breeze softly blew the locks that weren't sticking to her skin around her face. Her eyes sparkeled with excitement as she looked up at him. This was the start something new and exciting.

Scorpius stroked the side of her face, moving a stray piece of hair back behind her ear and kissing her forehead, his other arm wrapped behind her. Mumbling into her forehead he smiled at her words.
“Well hopefully the pain will be minimal if at all…but I’m glad you feel that way.”
In all honesty his heart was beating faster than ever, hardly believing the decision he had just made. In one brief moment he had turned away from his House, his family, all his beliefs, torn down all of his walls, it was almost too much to believe. Glancing down at his hands he made a face, pulling back from her to inspect them more closely.
“I hate to be a party pooper, but I think I’m beginning to prune...”
It was true, the water was beginning to get to his skin and he wasn’t a fan of how it looked, he never had been. He didn’t swim much but when he did it was for quite short periods of time. Smiling softly he grabbed her hand again tugging on it softly as he backed up towards the shore. If need be he would leave her out here by herself but considering the talk they’d just had he really didn’t want to. He wanted to get dry and just hoped tonight never ended, that they’d never have to deal with the difficulty of people knowing about them.
He was worried about this. People knowing could cause a lot of trouble and turmoil for them both. Thinking swiftly he decided he’d have to go and see his father soon and tell Draco himself. That was the only way, otherwise he’d be punished for hiding it which might be worse than what was to come when Scorpius told him he was involved with a Gryffindor. It had been bad enough when he’d been dating the Wood girl, and she had at least been in Slythrin. But draco had attended Hogwarts with Oliver Wood and apparently the quidditch rivalry between the two had lived strongly on and off the field. That was going to be a fun experience.

Arielle smiled softly as he mumbled words into her forehead. It was so sweet of him to take a chance for her, atleast in her opinon it was. She wrapped her arms around him in a gentle embrace before letting go and smiling up at him. Her eyes just happened to meet his and she smiled softly again. This night was never going to be forgotten, and they both knew it.
Arielle laughed softly and nodded. " Alright, let's get out. I'm beginning to get a bit cold anyways"she said following him to shore. When they reached the clay soil, she rushed over to her clothes, shivering and she accioed dry clothes for herself. She put them on quickly and pulled her hair up into a ponytail. She turned to face him and yawned softly. She looked down at her watch. It was nearly 3 am. Oh well, they didn't have class the next day.
After he got finished changing, Arielle looked at him with a twinkle in her eyes. " What should we do now?"she asked as she walked over to him. The moonlight reflected off of her features. The moonlight wasn't as bright, but it made her features more enhanced now. She played with her hair as she waited for his reply.
This journey for them wouldn't be easy, but it'd be extremely worth the pain. Hopefully they wouldn't have too much of a hard time. Arielle planned to tell her parents as soon as possible. She knew they would be a bit angry at first, but then they'd be fine and then came her friends. Oh, her friends. They probably thought that she was betraying them. Thats what most Gryffindors would probably think, but if they were truely friends of hers they wouldn't really mind as long as he made her happy.

Scorpius watched her scurry towards her clothing as she exited the lake water, the moonlight reflecting off her perfect skin. He let his eyes linger for a moment on her as she waited for her coverings to reach her but pulled his gaze away to give her the time to dress herself properly. Walking to his own clothes he pulled them on. It was true he could have performed a drying spell on himself fairly easily but he wanted to remember this. He wanted to remember how he felt the night he let her take him over, the way the cloth stuck to his wet skin, the way his hands were pruning, how his finger tips felt odd when connecting with other patches of skin. Magic couldn’t make a night like this.
Once clothed he turned back to her, a simple task but one which caused him to smile again. He was going to be allowed to look at her in public now, to acknowledge her, perhaps even touch her. Old habits die hard, a thought tugged at Scorpius that he couldn’t help but entertain. The thought of the look on Potter’s face if Scorpius walked up to Arielle and started talking to her while she was with her friends. That was something to look forward to. But that’s not why he wanted to do this. He wanted to do this for how he felt when he looked at her, how she made him feel. The Malfoy’s were well known for their harshness and cold hearts. The seventeen year old could say with great certainty that he didn’t think his heart was as cold when she was with him.
Walking back over to her he let his eyes linger on her face again; Her eyes sparkling in the moonlight, the slope of her nose casting a perfect shadow on her cheek, her lips pursed just so. She was playing with her hair which caught his attention. He retrieved her hand with his own, guiding it from her head to his lips where he placed a soft kiss on her knuckles. He saw the thought in her eyes, and understood it. She was having the same kind of progressive thoughts he himself was. At least they both knew the risks they were taking, the sacrifices that were going to have to be made if this was going to work. They’d have to ease their peers into the idea, couldn’t rush things if they wanted to actually be accepted.
Hm, what now. He really didn’t know. He was content just standing here looking at her but he wasn’t sure she was in the same mindset as he. On the other hand, where were they to go? It was the middle of the night, the sun would soon be rising, early risers would be getting up for their morning flying bouts, love birds would be coming out to watch the sun rise together, Filch would most likely be making rounds. The old Squib, Scorpius often wondered how old he was, how he had survived this long.
“I really have no idea. What are you in the mood for?”
