Body type (one paragraph):
Necrocilla has an hourglass shaped body, from the amount of tight corsets she has had to wear over the years. This has given her a stiff posture as there is not enough freedome in her clothing. Her hair is long, down to her waist as she has not cut it and refuses to shorten her hair. Along with her black locks she has dark brown eyes ones that at first glance appear to be black however if one was to look into her eyes a little longer they would see they are only a dark brown.
For someone who has lived underground for most of her life one would think she would be extremely pale, this is however false. The natural light from the gems inside the mountain are almost like sun light, therefore most of the population is slightly tanned and this also applies to Necrocilla.
Dressing Style (one paragraph):
The dress style of Necrotropolis has not change much. Corsets made of leather are worn and the skirts are made of a fine silk. Of course only those residing in the main tower can only afford these clothes. Necrocilla usually wears a tight corset to give her the hour glass body shape, along with silk skirts or a dress that covers the corset. The main colours she wears are black, red, purple or green.
She isn't acoustomed to wearing muggle clothes or the new style wizards have today, as she prefers skirts that go all the way down to her ankles.

Overall Personality (two paragraphs):
Cilla is one to study, she could be locked away in her room for hours on end, revising what she already knows as well as researching new spells and ways to counter them. However, growing up in Necrotropolis has taught her many useful talents. Socializing with people at gatherings and balls helps determin what someone may be truely after, also socializing creates friends as well as enermies and how might possibly stab you in the back. Being sly and cunning to get what she wants as well as malipulative and deceiving people, for the fun of it however mainly to benifit herself. The only people she will ever be kind to is other Necromancers or people in power willing to give her some of that power. She is sadisic and crule, along with a sharp tongue and witty sarcasism.
Necrocilla hates to lose, she will never back down from a challenge even if its not in her favour. However she will push herself to win to matter the cost. She is over confident in her Necromancy, one might say she has every right to be over confident, however she is only confident in what she has been able to do, she will not try a new spell without researching it first. She is also know to have the shortest fuse, especially when she has not had sleep for a couple of days or when she is woken up after having a short sleep. Anything said about her people she is quick off the mark to retaliate with words or a spell.

History (three paragraphs):
Necromancy History
In the same time Merlin's name was known throughout the lands as a great wizard there was one child that didn't think so. Her name was Necrocilla Van Derest, orphaned when she was five years old. A miss aimed spell from Merlin's own hands killed her parents who had thrown themselves at the girl to protect her from the spell. As Merlin tried to comfort the girl and explain to her that it had been a misunderstanding there was one thing she began to feel and that was hatred towards Merlin.
Merlin was going to leave her with her uncle, until a small spark struck Merlin in his leg. It wasn't enough to hurt him but it was enough to know that leaving this girl, who was clearly talented with magic, behind with her uncle would not be wise. Instead he took Necrocilla under his wing wanting to teach her how to control the magic she possessed.
Necrocilla looked up at the man that had killed her parents, she had been wondering for some time that if magic could heal people and create such destruction couldn't she try something a little different.
"Merlin, if I learn from you I can bring back my parents can't I?"
"My dear, there is no magic spell that can bring back your parents. Its forbidden."
That scene stayed with Necrocilla and she was going to learn this forbidden magic. Behind Merlin's back she had obtained books and scrolls which explained how to bring small animals and plants back to life. When Merlin went out and didn't return for several weeks Necrocilla continued to study and make alterations to spells. She was becoming really talented in the forbidden art.
For 15 years she studyied with Merlin and studied the forbidden art, however the day that Merlin found out was the day he gave the forbidden magic a name. He called it Necromancy, naming it after Necrocilla for her betrayal in his trust. Necrocilla left Merlin, swearing that the next time they met she would steal his very soul from his body. Merlin erased all notes and history books that involved him and Necrocilla, as he did not wish to be involved with the forbidden art.
10 years passed and during that time Necrocilla had gotton many other people interested in the new art of Necromancy. She had guidelines and rules, if they were broken then the Necromancer would find himself living an eternity of suffering, she would pull out his very soul and let it linger in limbo until she saw fit to send the soul on.
Rule 1: If someone has passed away and you wish to bring them back you have 48hrs after the death to do so, otherwise they will come back wrong.
Rule 2: In no way is one Necromancer allowed to seal another Necromancer's soul, this is punishable by eternal unrest.
Rule 3: New spells are not to br tried, research is needed for your own safety. This endangers others, punishable by eternal unrest.
Many other rules were in place to protect others as well as those conducting the spells, Necrocilla didn't want a miss aimed spell to hit someone elses parents and make them an orphen. During those ten years Necrocilla developed new spells, ones of sickness, soul stealing and capturing as well as communitcating with those already on the other side. She was also responsible for making the three unforgivable spells that are still used today.
It was also this time that Necrocilla had heard of Merlin's death. She cried for a whole day, regretting not being ablt to avenge her parents deaths and not being able to kill Merlin herself. After she cried she left her damp dark cave and visited Merlin's grave, it had been a private ceremony so only few would know of his demise. Digging up his grave she found his coffin and began to mumble words, Merlin would be her 10th person revived.
As Merlin rose from his grave he saw the same woman that had betrayed him years ago stand before him. She had not changed much, if anything she had gained a wrinkle or two from the years that had passed by. He cursed her for bringing him back and she only smiled and replied: "This was better then stealing your soul, Necromancy saved you and you'll live in shame for the rest of your life."
That life did no last very long as Merlin and Necrocilla began to battle, a battle that was short lived for Merlin's sake. However in his last breath he cursed Necrocilla, never would her blood line have a baby girl unless she came back herself and that would cause the mother to die. Necrocilla had only brought Merlin back to kill him a battle that was only written down in Necrocilla's journal not in the history books.
Necrocilla never married, instead she had a b**tard son, the father was a Necromancer however was only a follower and his name was never taken down in Necrocilla's journal. She called her son Tabias Van Derest and the reason she did not marry was so her last name would carry out through the ages.
As Necrocilla lay in her death bed she wrote down her final thoughts.
I Necrocilla Van Derest have lived my life without regret, I stood to what I believed to be right and in that stand I have gathered those who wish to live by my law. I am honoured to be surrounded by so loyal followers and my son is one of them. I have left instruction so he will be tutored after my passing and that he will be my successor. However, the name of Van Derest will forever be made by men as Merlin has cursed me, but I intend to return one day and I will prove to the rest of the world when the time calls for it that Merlin was wrong, Necromancy can be used for good or evil, it depends on the person who knows the art.
Farewell and long may the name Van Derest live on.
As decades passed Necromancy was banned and erased from the history books, Necromancers were bing hunted down and killed just for practising the art. The leader who was a desendant from Necrocilla called all followers forth and they fled to another land. They fled to the country now known as Australia but not before leaving a couple of clues that Necromacers might return, one spell they left behind in England was the Horcruxes.
Spells
Most spells are like rituals, certain things must be done before one can bring back someone. To bring life back no wands or staffs can be used, one has to rely on their own power to do this. If one is not prepared they will will become undead themselves and they will receive no rest when this happens.
Spells that involve sickness and such do invovle wands, however there is no fancy way to wave the wand just simply point it at the subject and say the words. Necromancers have their own language as well as knowing common tongue, so if an outsider heard the spell being said they would not truely understand what it truely does.
The blood line of Van Derest has but one ability that no other Necromancer can aquire, seeing and hearing spirits. They are spirits that do not wished to be seen and yet the Van Derest blood line can. It can be overwhelming for young Van Derest's the hardest time is between 14-18 years old.
Necrocilla Sylis Van Derest's History
In 1991, Kailen and Sylis gave birth to a baby girl. It was known that the blood line of Van Derest were forever cursed to have boys. The news of a baby girl being born from the Van Derest blood line was a cause for celebration. Even when born she had a dark patch of black hair and her eyes were a dark brown, almost black. In rememborance of the first Necromancer, they named her Necrocilla Sylis Van Derest the Second. However Sylis did not have much time with her newly born, she died holding her baby in her arms, it was then that Kailen realised that the price for having a baby girl was his wife's live. He tried many times to bring her back however there was stronge magic at work keeping Sylis from returning to her body.
At the age of five, Necrocilla began learning necromancy, just like the first, she was talented in magic and was keen on learning everything she could for her age. People believed she was Necrocilla herself reincarnated, rumours began to flutter around the city that she would help her people go back to the surface. However, even if Cilla was the reincarnation of Necrocilla the first, she had no memory of that life and believed she wasn't Necrocilla the first.
It was at this time her older brother Cyrus was foolish and left the city for one night, he caused a sceen with some muggles that were campng in the area. Upon his return, he and his father began to argue, Necrocilla stood in the door way and listened to the arguement, its the very same arguement that caused father and son to go their seperate ways. Of course Cyrus continued to live in the main tower but the only time father and son would talk was when it was business or when Necrocilla was in the same room.
A year after Kailen's son had foolishly gone to the surface he was approached by the MoM. It seemed the situation had changed and the MoM was now back in control, they explained that they would need to evaluate the city and see what would happen. It was after the MoM left that Kailen pushed for Cilla to learn more, he wanted her to even best him.
In the MoM this matter of Necromancers being alive stayed in discussion for ten long years, during this time Necrocilla became an insominac, studying almost all the time and would only get a few hours sleep after three to four days. Cilla's childhood was a good one, at lease for a Necromancer it was a good one. She would attend the balls that celebrated each season, she would mingle at gatherings and take part in the council meetings. She learn more politics and how to get what she wanted by looking at her brother and father. Her knowledge in necromancy was almost as good as her father's, she could conjure a spirit that was stuck in limbo to her side and had begun learning on how to send them to the other side, giving them peace when the MoM came back. The verdict had been given and it was decided that the city could stay as it was for the time being however any child between the age of 11 and 17 would have to attend a Magical school. In other words to Lord Kailen, Necromancy would soon fade out as the younger generation would get a taste of different magic.
Necrocilla was one of the first to recieve a letter of acceptance, it was from Hogwarts. Kailen confronted Necrocilla of his thoughts of what the MoM was going to do and hearing her father's thoughts she guessed as much as well. As Necrocilla packed her bags to head out to hogwarts two questions began to rise in her mind....
Would she prove to the rest of the magical socity that Necromancy was not a forbidden art and could be used for good? Or would she turn and help the darker side to make sure the culture of her people was secure and that the legend of Necromancy would live on?
