“I can’t believe nobody believes you about Voldemort.” Hermione sighed as she, Ron, and Harry made their way down the third floor corridor. “I mean, after all these years of people thinking you a liar and finding it was true, why do they think you would start lying now?”
“I don’t know, Hermione. I really don’t want to talk about it anymore.” Harry tried to be nice, really tired of Hermione and Ron complaining about it anymore.
“I’m sorry, Harry.” Hermione stopped, turning to look at them as they also stopped. “It just really aggravates me.”
“What aggravates you, mud blood?” The harsh voice of Draco Malfoy asked as they were quickly joined by him, Blaise Zabini, and Daphne Greengrass.
“Probably that hideous hair…” Daphne answered Draco’s question with a slight smirk. “But it has always been like that… I don’t know why it would be bothering her now.”
The three laughed at the rather pathetic attempt at a joke. A very tired Harry rolled his eyes, not really wanting to argue. He didn’t even both turning to face Malfoy, but beckoned his friends to follow him. Malfoy and his crew weren’t going away that easy. Apparently they were on a mission for something.
“Go away MalfFFFFOOOOOYYYY!” Ron yelled and at the end of his sentence the floor gave out from beneath them; sending Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Daphne, and Blaise spiraling into what seemed like a black whole.
After about five minutes of falling in the whole they hit the hard ground.
Omph…” Harry moaned, taking the impact for him and Hermione, whom had fallen on top of him.
“Sorry, Harry…” Hermione apologized as she stood up. She began to look around and saw that they were on Hogwarts grounds.
“What the…” Draco began, brushing himself off. But before he got out the rest they were joined by four boys running up to them.
“That was brilliant!” One of the yelled. “Falling out of the sky, I mean…”
“Thanks…” Ron replied rather stupidly with a toothy smile. Hermione elbowed him in the side, giving him the sign to hush.
“Who are you?” Hermione question curiously. She hadn’t seen them around campus, but they looked so familiar.
“Yeah, Prongs. Where are your manors! Not introducing yourself to new guests.” A very arrogant voice said from behind the boy. Then came an equally familiar boy from behind that one, but this one wore a fake smile.
“Prongs…” Hermione whispered to herself and caught Harry’s eye out the corner of hers. Could it be?
“We are the Marauders.” The boy introduced them. “I am Sirius, this is James, Remus, and that lump over there is Peter. Who are you? Haven’t seen you around before…”
“Oh…” Hermione wasn’t for sure what to say. She was very thankful that the Slytherins were keeping quiet.
Before anyone could answer Sirius’s question they were joined by a new group of kids falling out of the sky.
“Ow… you just wait until my father hears about this, Potter!” A boy was yelling and looking at him you would swear it was Draco Malfoy. If the real one hadn’t been standing beside her, Hermione would have thought it was.
“Shut up, Malfoy! This wasn’t James’s fault!” A girl, who looked much like Hermione, defended. She then tossed her hair and looked at the others. “Who are you?”
“Better question is, who are you?” Hermione seemed to be the only one able to talk looking at the new kids. They all looked like them, it was really rather weird.
“Well, I am James Sirius Potter.” The boy that looked identical to the Harry and James standing there, informed them. Hermione blinked and then turned around to see that was the only one that hadn’t fainted.
Some first day, huh? Get sent back into time to your parents and grandparents day? They think that Voldemort may be behind the time travel thing, but they have no clue how to reverse it. So until Headmistress Skye Parker and her staff can figure out how to get the kids back to their own time, they are stuck attending Hogwarts in 1976.
