Can we climb this mountain I don't know Higher now than ever before No we can make it if we take it slow Let's take it easy Easy now Watch it go
"Yeah, probably mostly stuff I could just vanish away; and don't worry about it, I shouldn't just think of it as the glorified job I like to think of it as," she allowed with a shrug of a shoulder. She still wasn't sure why she had always imagined working in St. Mungos, especially how she reacted around others who were injured; the idea of being a professor wasn't a bad one either. Not one she had given much thought too, but she might have to start looking in to it now. Laughing when he commented about private detentions, she adopted her best 'professional' tone of voice, and said, "why Mr. Potter - I do believe that you are simply out looking for trouble. What ever shall I do with you?"
Letting the idea of having her own classroom and one James Potter sitting behind a desk float around her head, she almost didn't notice the hand that moved up to rest softly against her neck. With that one touch he caused her heart to race, and her to move her eyes to lock on to his. Acutely aware of the brushing of his finger tips against her skin, she felt as if her entire being was centered around the path those fingers were taking. Only hearing his words in one ear, she couldn't think of anything intelligent to say, too busy trying to ensure her breaths were coming out evenly.
When he slid his hand further up her neck, and the gentle tickling of his thumb along her lips, she caught her breath in her throat. How had she gotten herself here? The last time she had checked, she was on her way to hang out with a friend, and now she was sitting on a couch in front of a fireplace, inside an empty Three Broomsticks. If the setting wasn't enough to get to her then the company was more than plenty. Eyes unable to move from his, she leaned her head in to the hand on her cheek, gazing at him softly. She wanted so badly to pluck up her courage and learn forward the slight distance between them.
Blushing lightly when she heard his softly spoken words, she wondered if he would be able to feel the heat in her cheeks as much as she could. "Thank you," she replied, knowing that the absurd 'you, too' was not the most appropriate thing at the moment. But appropriate or not, it was true; he had to be one of the most attractive people she knew, and she wasn't simply referring to his appearance. His entire personality, his whole persona was appealing, and the further in to the night they were getting, the harder and harder it was becoming to ignore that fact.

Can we climb this mountain I don't know Higher now than ever before No we can make it if we take it slow Let's take it easy Easy now Watch it go
Heart beating fast, she stared in to his eyes, moving her gaze only when she saw his lips begin to move. Eyes captivated by the words forming from his mouth, she barely even took in what he was saying. The only thing she could concentrate on was the hand on her cheek, the feeling of her blood rushing through her veins, and distance between his eyes and his lips, not sure which part she wanted to watch more. At his softly uttered words, she drew her gaze back up to his, freezing when she watched him draw nearer, and his own eyes drop closed.
In a second that stretched on for hours, Brandi frantically cast her mind about for if she wanted to go through with this. Once she let her own lips met his, she knew there would be no turning back; she would not be able to pretend, to either of them, that the interaction hadn't taken place. The big question was whether or not not having him after tonight was going to be worth it. If seeing him in a week with another girl, maybe even taking her to this exact location, was worth this one moment of happiness.
Having silently waited for this night to come for years, and not thinking it ever would, she knew, despite what her better instincts were telling her, that she was going to go through with it. In any case she'd have the one night to think back on, to remember. To be able to recall the way the light from the fireplace glinted off of his hair, the exact smell that was him wafting in to her nose. And, without a doubt, the warm comforting way his hand was cupping her cheek, as if she was the only thing in the world. It didn't matter if he wasn't in this for the reason she was, she would deal with that pain when it came; for the moment, she was just going to let all her worries go and enjoy the rest of the night, where ever it took them.
Letting her own eyes flutter shut a moment after his did, she brought her own hand up to rest on top of his own, allowing her head to rest more in it. Inching closer toward him, feeling the distance between them closing almost like a force against her chest, she gave a small, quiet gasp as she let her lips press softly against his. How could he possibly ask her if she wanted to go somewhere else? This one, tentative, long awaited kiss was worth whatever the cost. Quickly loosing all track of thought and surroundings, she slid her hand slowly down his arm to rest against his chest, bringing her other hand up to meet it, while pressing gently forward for a second time, wanting nothing more than to feel his velvety lips against her own.

Eyes slowly drifting back open as he pulled away slightly, she let them reconnect with his, thinking she would be a fool to want to look anywhere else. The intensity with which his own eyes bore in to her caused her stomach to flutter, and her bones to nearly melt in to a pile of goo. Unable to stay away for too long, she was close to pulling him back when he pressed another kiss to her lips, his smile bringing out one of her own. She felt as if her insides were burning, moving from the pit of her chest up and out toward her extremities. Fingers almost tingling with feeling, she let out a soft breath as she was pulled closer to him.
Wanting to hold on to something, to try to ground herself lest she dissolve in to a complete puddle, she slid her hands further up his chest, stopping to run through the short strands of hair at the nape of his neck. It was as she was allowing her arms to wrap more comfortably around his shoulders when she felt his tongue slide in to her mouth. The taste of him on her lips, and now exploding on her taste bud was so intense that her grip on the back of his neck became firmer, not wanting him to get too far away. With a slight tilt of her head, she silently gave permission for his to do as he will, letting her own tongue draw forward, unable to stay away from his.
Feeling her stomach muscles tighten when his fingers found their way to her skin, she couldn't help but to arch slightly forward in to his touch, her skin seeking out his. Completely lost, she kept on hand on the base of his neck, running her fingers around the side and back again, while the other traced a path down the front of his own shirt, stopping only to allow her fingers to splay out on his side. Running her fingers lightly over his ribs, she pulled back enough from the kiss so that she could look up at him, wanting to see if he was anywhere near as affect as she herself was. Not letting him get too far away, she kept her lips close enough to brush against his as she breathed in. Studying his face, searching for what, she didn't know, she closed the distance between them once more, nibbling on his bottom lip, the hand on his side moving to run across his back.

Head tilting back automatically when his lips moved down past her own, she felt her body give a slight shudder as the heat of his breath tickled her skin and his lips drew goose bumps on to her skin. The light, barely there touches were going straight to her heart, and the longer he kept doing things like that, the more lost she was going to be.
Dragging her finger tips in an unknown pattern along his back, she caught her breath in her throat when she felt more than heard a moan ghost across her lips. With that one sound she felt both elated and devastated. What in the world was she doing? Yes she had said she had wanted to have this one night to remember, but she wasn't so sure that she wanted to give in to him completely; not on their first night together.
Bringing her hands back around to his front, cupping his face gently, she pressed her lips softly one last time against his, keeping her eyes on his. Terrified that she might have ruined any chance she had with him, but not wanting to do anything she was going to end up regretting, she kissed him slowly, smiling softly when she pulled back.

Smiling at him as his hand eased its way out of her shirt, she couldn't help but feel slightly relieved when he was on the same page she was. If she had had to ask him to stop she didn't know if she could have. It was hard enough to pull back as it was, and if they had gone any further she didn't think her will would have held up much longer. Watching in amazement at the smile that formed on his lips, she felt her mouth automatically return the look, eyes dancing in happiness.
"As long as I can call you mine," she said softly, not able to believe the words he had spoken. Did this mean that he was looking for something a little longer lasting? Unable to stop the need from knowing the answer to that question, but not able to voice her fears, she forced them to the back of her mind. Heart fluttering madly, she leaned forward once more, this time resting her head against his shoulder. Logically she knew they would have to be leaving some time soon - they had to make their way back to the common room, but she was unwilling to let this night end, terrified that when she fell asleep that night she would wake up to find it had all been a dream.

When silenced had reigned for a few long seconds, Brandi lifted her head from his shoulder once more, eyes searching his face. If that was going to be such a hard commitment, then she wouldn't ask him to make it; that being said, if he couldn't agree to that then there was no future for the two of them. She didn't think she could ever be with someone who couldn't be with her and only her. There was no way her heart could stand being abused in such a way, and maybe it was unfair to ask that of him. She had hoped that possibly his playboy days were behind him, but if he had to think about how to reply then maybe she had asked too soon. Maybe they just weren't meant to be together, no matter how right it felt.
Debating whether or not to revoke her statement, saying she had made a mistake, she let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding when he agreed. Wondering if she looked as big of a dork as she felt, feeling ridiculously happy, she busied herself when straightening her slippers, not wanting him to see the expression on her face lest he take back his words. "I think we should fly," she replied, surprising herself. She had had a vision of walking hand in hand through the town - the path all their's. The coherent part of her mind though pointed out that the gates might not be open, and they didn't want to alert any of the professors to their presence by tripping off some alarm.
"It'll be quicker," she reasoned out loud, pushing herself up from her comfortable seat. Gathering their used plates and cutlery, she piled everything together, carrying them in her arms. "If you don't mind grabbing the glasses, we should return these to the kitchens. After all this man has done for us, it seems the least we can do." Smiling down at him, she felt a strand of hair fall in to her face; balancing the plates against one arm, she tucked the wayward strand back in to place, waiting for him before making her way to the back of the store.

"Heavy lifting?" she asked, amused but undoubtedly touched when he removed the plates from her arms. "Don't drop anything, I don't think he'd be able to stay away from the sound of breaking glass." Softly smiling as she followed him back in to the kitchens, grabbing their discarded napkins along the way, she dumped them in the nearest bin. Jogging forward to hold open the door for him, however late it was, she looked around in slight fascination. Sure, it was just a kitchen, with a sink, counter, cabinets, everything normally found in the room, but there was something about being in the back of the building of they had just had their first date was almost remarkable.
Shaking her head, mentally calling herself a sap, she laughed quietly at his poor attempt at a cleaning spell. "You could just use the faucet, you know," she offered, snickering as she stepped forward. Bumping him with her hip, she leaned over the large sink to turn on the hot water, letting the liquid rinse the remains down the drain. Eyes searching for soap, she gave up fairly quickly, setting the utensils down in the bottom of the sink, hoping the man would get the hint.
Flicking her still wet fingers at James playfully, she stuck out her tongue at him childishly when she saw some droplets land on his face. Drying her hands quickly on her shorts, she laughed once more, covering her mouth with her hand so as not to bother the person upstairs. She had no idea if the sound carried, or even if the gentleman was awake or not, and she didn't want to cause him to come back down.

“You sit there in your heartache Waiting on some beautiful boy to To save you from your old ways You play forgiveness Watch him now, here he comes”Tuesday 2150 ish… James Potter James turned to smile when he heard his girlfriends voice behind him and felt her hip bump into his own. As she leaned over to turn on the tap his hand instantly moved to her waist and his gaze moved down her body as he bit back down on his lip. He couldn't resist, he wanted his hands near enough all over her once more and he couldn't take his eyes of someone as stunning as her, especially as now she was his and only his. Quickly looking back to her face as she turned, as his gaze had previously settled on staring at her arse he smiled at her.
"Well I'm glad one of us has common sense when it came to cleaning," he replied before his eyes flicked shut for a second due to the reaction of water being flicked in his face. James laughed at her face before he too placed a hand over his mouth to stop the sound from escaping. Listening intently he did not hear any sound from above to indicate that anyone had been disturbed from their laughter so he removed his hand.
"There are better ways to stop laughter," he whispered to her as he stepped slightly closer, a hand grabbing her own and pulling it into his own before once again his lips were pushed onto hers. He closed his eyes, softly giving her lips a few light kisses before his tongue moved shallowly into her mouth. He loved her kisses, could quite have easily spent the rest of the night just getting off with her but he knew that was not possible. Not going to allow himself to get too lost in the moment again his free hand that was around her waist moved under her shirt and started to tickle her bare skin. However he did not move his lips away, rather he pushed them more firmly against hers and a smirk crossed his.

Feeling his warm hand wrap around her own, she allowed herself to be brought forward, free hand moving to gently wipe away a large drop that had landed on his cheek. Eyes drifting shut when he pressed his lips to hers, she reveled in the fact that she had been given permission to do this, that it was she he wanted to kiss. Hand slipping down to press against his chest lightly, steadying herself more mentally than physically, she almost didn't notice when his hand slipped under her shirt. The soft, feather light brushes to her side quickly alerted her, however, and the firm press of his lips did nothing to stop the reaction of being tickled.
Trying not to laugh, she squirmed to the side, trying to get away from those fingers, but not wanting to give up the kiss just yet. When it became necessary to break away for a deep breath, she hit him softly with the back of her hand. "That was cruel," she said, not in the least bit upset. Grabbing both of his hand in hers, linking their fingers together so she knew where they were, she pressed her lips against his once more, softly brushing a small kiss to his lips.
"Come on," she whispered, smiling as she let go of one hand but kept the other in her own. They needed to start heading back, no matter how much she didn't want to. Walking next to him as they headed back out in to the main room of the building, she cast her gaze about once more around the empty place. Aside from the fire crackling merrily in the grate, the only sound that could be heard was their footsteps.

Re-zipping up her jacket, wishing she had had the foresight to wear pants as opposed to the shorts she was currently in, she felt goose bumps raise automatically on her skin. Pulling the sleeves of her coat further down to cover most of her fingers, she moved further in to his side, drawing warmth from him, and offering it in return.
Slightly more than terrified at the prospect of mounting the broom without him, Brandi plucked up her courage and straddled the broom, refusing to sit down until he was on with her. "You had best get over here, then, or I'll leave without you," she said, not meaning a word of it. She had no intentions of going anywhere on a broomstick with him, but she wasn't so sure the broom had the same idea.

"Oh, well that's comforting," Brandi answered with a slight laugh, thankful for the joke to take her mind off of potentially taking off on a broom stick. Relaxing almost immediately when he climbed on behind her, she welcomed the feeling of his warm hands sliding around her waist. Shifting back marginally into his arms, she shivered as the heart from his breath tickled her ear, a sharp contrast to the night air surrounding them.
Nodding in reply to his countdown, she pushed off the ground when he reached one, eyes automatically watering as the cold air bit viciously at them. Wanting to move further in to the comfort of his body, she kept her hands in place, sliding them out of the edge of her jacket, hoping a firmer grip would off a better sense of security. Hoping he didn't actually want to go 150 miles per hour, she waited to see if he would slow it down a bit, and maybe let them enjoy the ride back to the school. Of course, she wasn't sure how much enjoying they could do; not when it was freezing up there.

“You sit there in your heartache Waiting on some beautiful boy to To save you from your old ways You play forgiveness Watch him now, here he comes”Tuesday 2150 ish… James Potter As they started to fly back to their destination of Hogwarts castle James couldn't help but shiver more. The chill factor up here was worse than down below on the ground where they had just been and he wished more than anything that he had bought his jacket with him instead of just this stupidly thin blue jumper. His gaze moved down to the small village below them that was starting to become further and further away.
There was something almost relaxing about being on the back on a broom stick though he still much preferred being in lead. As he moved the top of his body tighter against the girl he rested his chin upon her shoulder and gave her cold cheek a light kiss. A wide smile was fixed upon his lips as one hand stayed wrapped tightly around her waist and the other moved to her thigh. He smirked slightly as he looked over to her.
She wasn't a bad flyer as she seemed to make herself out to be. But he wondered what she would be like with just a slight distraction. Moving his face towards hers his tongue moved over the outside of her ear, a smirk on his lips as his hand moved down to the inside of her thigh.

Welcoming the feel of him pressed snuggly against her back, she turned her head to smile out at him out of the corner of her eye. Risking death for the pleasure of putting her hand on his, she removed one hand from its place on the broom and settled it above his on her waist. Smiling over at him again, she had just turned to look back at where they were going when she felt his warm tongue slid over the shell of her ear, and his hand slid further down her leg. Shivering for an entirely different reason, she immediately removed her hand from his, gripping tightly once more to the handle in front of her, heart lurching in terror when the broom swerved from the sudden way she had moved her legs.
"James, you have to stop," she said, not really meaning it. While she was scared beyond belief that she was going to crash them straight in to the Whomping Willow, she couldn't help but think it would be a wonderful way to go. After all, the broom would survive. Shivering again, she tightened her legs' hold on the broom stick, slowing down the pace, but turned her head enough so she could kiss the side of his mouth. There was no way she was going to be able to stay away from his lips too long, and the chance of death wasn't going to change that. Moving her own lips further on to his, she closed her eyes as she softly kissed him, having half a mind to remove her hand once more from its spot she she could hold the side of his face.

“You sit there in your heartache Waiting on some beautiful boy to To save you from your old ways You play forgiveness Watch him now, here he comes”Tuesday 2150 ish… James Potter As James kissed the girl his hand moved further up her inner thigh as his tongue moved into her slightly open mouth. Yes perhaps they should both be concentrating on the broomstick between their legs but right now the only thing James was thinking of was Brandi. His eyes closed, the wind breathing its chill air though his hair and clothes the hand round her waist moved once more under her shirt, resting upon her flat stomach.
A girlfriend, James Potter officially had a girlfriend. Okay so that was hardly a new thing but she wasn't just another girlfriend she was his first serious one. He had to wonder how long it would be until the school and their friends found out that this wasn't just another girl to be added onto the 'girls James Potter has had' list. Would they take it as a joke, find it all highly hilarious and wonder just how long it would be until he slipped up. He was more than determined to prove them wrong, show that he was boyfriend material and he wouldn't slip up, right?
The broom started to drop, hardly noticeable at first but then it started to plummet...straight towards the grounds of Hogwarts. Instantly James moved his lips from hers, his eyes wide as he moved body forward slightly, to grab hold of brooms handle, arms either side of her. However a wide smile was fixed upon his face even though at any moment it could surely be the death of them. "Pull up," he said to the girl, "Quickly..." he laughed slightly, he couldn't help it as he pulled up on the broom handle.

Forgetting for a moment where they were, Brandi gave in to the urge of wanting to move her hand to touch him. Sliding her hand up to rest against his neck, she smiled against his lips, eyes closed. Lost in the feel of him, she was brought back to reality with she felt her stomach drop for a rather unpleasant reason. Pulling away quickly, she gripped the broomstick, eyes widening at the almost vertical plunge they were in.
Squeezing her eyes tightly shut, feeling queasy at the site of the on coming ground, she didn't open them again until after James' arms surrounded her, hands above hers on the handle. Feeling the broom steady back out, she peaked out trough her one eye to see where they were. Breathing a sigh of relief when she saw that the ground was still a few meters away, she let her shoulders relax, not knowing when they had tightened up. Looking up to see the look on James' face, she couldn't help but to smile along with him; the joy was easily written on his face, and despite how scared she had been, she had to admit that that had been a thrill.
