Rose had gathered a large pile of books on the desk before her, taking up much of the space on the table. Several students had already passed by the table, made ready to sit down with their homework in hand, but then left again - there was not enough space, simply.
And what was the Gryffindor doing with all the books? Studying hard? Seeking answers? No-no... she was reading just for the fun of it - this was reflected in the content of the books - everything, from nonsense like "Hilda Hufflepuff's Holidays - a Guide in unfortunate travel-wizards and -witches" to supreme knowledge like "Dark Arts Volume XVI - Defense and Caution" was part of the book-selection. And Rose enjoyed it immensely, as evidenced by the silly grin on her face...

Albus' idea of a fun time is not going to the library and reading. In fact, he wasn't even going to read. He just wanted to cause loads of trouble in the library. Annoy the hell out of people and maybe get detention. That was always fun. He slammed both doors to the library open and stepped inside, grinning. This was definetely going to be fun, Al thought to himself, as he stepped inside.
He pulled out his wand, and, still standing in the door way, he flicked it at the shelves, making the books fly everywhere, a few hitting students on top of the heads. He laughed as he did this. His bad mood was definitely gone now. He pointed at another shelf and did the same thing. Some students began running out of the library and he moved out of the way, quickly, to avoid getting run over.
He always avoided hitting one student in there. That was his cousin, Rose. He didn't hit her with books, but he did make the books she had attack people. The last thing he did was make the shelves fall over. Of course, no one was under them to be crushed. Most of the library was empty. He just stood there, admiring his work, not caring if he was caught.

Once we reached the town of Auxerre, Monsieur Bonati claimed he had been there before - which was highly unlikely, as he had previous claimed he had never been in France his whole life. He also claimed to be tired and hungry and we headed for the nearest inn. A dirty, little shack of a inn, with an even more dirty keeper known as Blacky Bilou. More greasy hair than his had never been seen in all of France before...
Worse crap was hard to come by, she had to give the book that much credit. She shut it with a quick, annoyed move with her hand and stared at the other books before her. It appeared the bad piece of fiction, 'Hilda Hufflepuff's Holidays - a Guide in unfortunate travel-wizards and -witches', was just as bad as critics had claimed... she would believe them next time, then!
Her attention was quickly brought elsewhere, as the - rather common - sound of Albus wreaking havoc floated to her ears. She looked in the direction of the chaos and spotted Albus. A true Gryffindor if she had ever saw one...
"Oh!" she said as the books started flying off the table - she was quite shocked, and it took a while before she turned 'normal' again. "Well that was fun," she chuckled slightly, lying through her teeth. But try as she might, Rose could never stay mad at him for long
"I know I promised I'd try and not be so serious this year...I'm not studying, I swear. This is just light reading for the hungry mind, as one would say... But I just lost my appetite, thanks to 'Hilda Hufflepuff's Holiday'..." She looked to him with a raised brow
"I heard your up to something big, something involving potions. If you really want to pull it off, you know you'll need my help, don't you?" Holding her hand up, she shook her head a bit "Don't ask how I know, I have my sources" she added with a wink

"I do believe it is Helga Hufflepuff Dear Cousin," he said, in a charming fashion. "And there's really no such thing as that. You're reading to learn something, that's the whole point of reading. Why do you think that I stay away from it?" Okay, so maybe he doesn't officially stay away from reading, though he won't touch books that aren't about pranking or Quidditch. He did have a reputation to uphold.
"That was fun, wasn't it? Unfortunately, not satisfying enough." He didn't understand why his pranking hasn't satisfyed him this year. Maybe it was because he hasn't gotten into trouble for them yet. That had to be it. He sighed. Dang, he'd have to get into trouble."
She mentioned his prank involving potions and he raised his eyebrows. "What prank with potions?"
((OOC-I started the thread with Sara after I replied to this thread, so technically, this takes place before that. If that's what you are talking about, your character doesn't know about it yet.))

"Actually..." she pouted, realizing he was correcting her, even if it was in a light-hearted way. Rose had inherited being an insufferable know it all from her mother, and always felt like she knew what she was talking about. If she didn't...well she'd figure it out
"The book did say Hilga...not Helga. It is fiction, however horrible it is. Nothing factual about it at all...." she paused shaking her head "Let's not get into a debate about the difference between reading for pleasure and reading for purpose. We were talking about pranking and potions, right...yes?"
"Your having problems with potions. Uncle Harry wants you to learn more about them. You like to prank. I want to help you. It doesn't take a genius to see where I'm going with this"

"Well, then, whoever wrote that book doesn't know her name," he said simply. "And fine, I don't want to talk about reading anyways. I hate books." More like loath them. He didn't understand why anybody would want to read.
She started talking about potions again, but she got his attention. She wants to pull a prank using them. "I got a P last year. Harry told me that he didn't think I could do worse. I told him that I could and I'm taking it this year to prove that I could get a D or even a T." Al has been calling his dad by his first name for awhile now. His dad hated it and he'd done it around his grandparents and they yelled at him for it, too. Oh, well, it was about time they stopped seeing him as an angel. "So what were you thinking about? What prank do you want to pull using them?"

He'll be fine, you know...eventually he'll get over it... besides I'll help you with your potions homework ... and I'll even doooo it for you ...
She blew a few loose strands of hair from her face as she gazed around. Everyone seemed to be talking about the stuff Albus had pulled in the past and blah blah blah booorrrrinnngggg. He wasn't satisfied with it, and neither was Rose. I mean once she poured a special potion in the kitchen at grandmum Weasley's and everyone puked up this pink stuff. They were supposed to turn into frogs but she'd screwed up something ... hmmm ... she never had figured out what she'd done wrong. But that was when she was younger... at Hogwarts it was near impossible to sneak anything into the kitchen ... unless ....
"I got a plan Albus ... I need you to sneak some plants from Herbology ... and we'll steal some stuff from potions .. and then we'll give the Slytherin's a treat. Everyone's tip toeing around them, but I think they need to be taught a lesson ... but we gotta be careful .. I still can't hear from my right ear from the last howler ...merlin mum has a loud voice when she's angry ..."
Her eyes light up with mischief as she gazed across at her cousin. She knew he'd jump at the chance. He always did. Nothing had changed between them since they'd been born. Though now that they were in their sixth year she'd noticed some of the girls payed attention to him. He had the bad boy thing going she guessed. Whatever, they weren't taking him away from her ... she worried a little but dismissed it as her mind went back to scheming twirling a loose strand of hair around her finger. Next time they went to Hogsmeade she'd have to get some more stuff too ...

Of course Al was going to jump at any chance to help her with a prank, especially when it was against the Slytherins. "You know I'm all for it," he said, "but I need to know more about it. What are you planning? What plants and potions do you need? When do you plan we execute it?"
She mentioned the howler and Al laughed. "Those still faze you? I've recieved so many that know I can just tone them out. I don't hear it." In fact any type of punishments that his dad tried on him never worked. One of these days his dad will learn not to punish him because they don't work. "I think you still need to learn a few things, Rosie."

"There's no tuning out my mum Albus. Where do you think I get my temper from?" She stuck out her tongue at him and made a pouty face
"Actually I haven't thought that quite far ahead Albus. You know I'm no good at this pranking stuff. But I really am trying!"
Drumming her nails, she seemed to stare off into space for a moment before she took a piece of parchment from her satchel and a quill, bringing life to her thoughts as she scribbled out the ingredients
"Remember that time I made everbody puke pink at grandma's? And I blamed it on you...."

Al laughed. "I toned your mom out," he said. "Remember when she yelled at me at the picnic for talking back to Harry and threatening him?" He had maybe heard half of what she said. "I've been yelled at by so many people, Rosie, that it doesn't matter faze me anymore."
"Well, think quicker. I swear you are such a slow thinker, nothing like your mum." Maybe that joke was too far, but he tended to do that. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist." She mentioned what the 'incident' at Grandmum's house and he laughed. "I remember well. That was when she stopped considering me so sweet and a perfect angel." He smiled. "Thanks for that, I mean it. You wanna do something like that?"
